Class Description

2027 Residential Retreat
Putting It All Together:
Journey Deeper into the Many Facets of Ortho-Bionomy

Twin Rocks Friends Camp
Rockaway Beach, Oregon

Join us on the beautiful Oregon coast, where you will have the opportunity to learn, deepen, and live Ortho-Bionomy for a 7 day/6 night retreat.

In a beautiful natural setting surrounded by trees, walking trails, and a short pedestrian bridge to the beautiful ocean, you can learn more about the different facets of Ortho-Bionomy and how to Put It All Together:
~ Explore the many phases, layers, and dimensions of Ortho-Bionomy
~ Deepen your understanding of and confidence with the techniques
~ Gain deeper sensitivity in your hands and body
~ Become more comfortable & excited about human anatomy
~ Integrate more fluidly the many aspects of Ortho-Bionomy into your practice

Topics that will be covered will include:
~ Working with tension patterns that influence the Breath
~ Integrating Massage & Ortho-Bionomy
~ Delving more deeply into the anatomy of where you are working
~ Applying Ortho-Bionomy principles to Cranial work
~ Deeper applications of Exploration of Movement

We added an extra day to our Residential time, so that we would have extra opportunities for breaks between class modules.

Interspersed with the 40 hours of formal classroom time will be ample opportunities for practicing and receiving bodywork with classmates, walking, journaling, meditating, being in community, laughing, moving, and other activities that take care of you.

You will be given the chance to step away from your daily distractions, obligations, and commitments and really focus on YOU, both personally and professionally.
~ Deepen your Self Care skill levels
~ Explore working with parts of the body that may be new for you
~ Find more comfort with “Less is More”
~ Track patterns in your client’s body

Jim & Melissa have spent the last couple of years looking for a location that has the beauty of nature and is priced appropriately. We have decided to return to the comfortable and beautiful setting of Twin Rocks Friends Camp on the Oregon Coast. They took great care of us in 2022, and we can't wait to go back!

In Person Safety:
Due to the Instructors’ health histories, we are extra cautious about possible contagions, particularly anything respiratory. We strongly request (but don’t require) that everyone at the Residential wear N95 masks (or equivalent) in the classroom, especially when in close proximity. Masks can be provided by us. If you have any health symptoms before you arrive at the Residential please contact Deborah, the class coordinator, right away. We will give you a full refund or credit for a future class if you need to stay home due to contagious illness. If you become ill while at the Residential, please speak with Deborah right away to make arrangements. While we cannot create a zero-risk environment, we trust our students to help us to keep everyone as safe as possible in the classroom.
